Tamale Teaching Hospital Partners with Lung Health Ghana to Mark World Lung Day

Tamale Teaching Hospital (TTH) collaborated with Lung Health Ghana to commemorate World Lung Day, focusing on raising awareness about lung diseases. The event kicked off with public education initiatives on radio and television, aimed at educating the public on lung health and preventive measures.

The climax of the event was a public lecture titled "Clean Air and Healthy Lungs for All," which highlighted the importance of air quality in maintaining good respiratory health. The lecture, along with the public education campaign, was led by Dr. (Med) Rafiuk Cosmos Yakubu and Dr. (Med) Joshua Akurugu Abaah, with support from various other resource persons.

Key topics discussed during the campaign included the dangers of poor air quality, the health risks associated with smoking, and common respiratory diseases. The initiative aimed to encourage healthier lifestyles and reduce the prevalence of lung-related illnesses in the community.

Through this collaboration, TTH and Lung Health Ghana continue to advocate for better lung health and cleaner air, aligning with global efforts to combat respiratory diseases and promote healthier living environments.
