A team from the World Child Cancer visited TTH
on Monday, February 26, 2024. The UK based
NGO has been supporting the shared care
program in the hospital. This arrangement
provides children with cancer and their family
resources to access care in TTH, including support
for medications, diagnostics and transportation.
The NGO also supports capacity building of
nurses, doctors, pharmacists and nutritionists to
better provide holistic care for children with
cancer.
The visit was to explore other opportunities for
continued support and collaborations. The two
institutions pledged their commitment to a long
term partnership to improve survivorship from
childhood cancer in northern Ghana.
