Management of the Jospong Group of Companies, together with its partners, has inspected the proposed site for the construction of an ultramodern oncology centre at the Tamale Teaching Hospital. At a meeting with management, the Chief Executive Officer of TTH, Dr. (Med.) Abubakari Bawah Abdulai, expressed appreciation to the Ministry of Health, Jospong Group of Companies and its partners for initiating the project.
Dr. Bawah Abdulai highlighted the difficulties many patients in the northern sector face when seeking oncology services, often having to travel to Accra or Kumasi for treatment. He described the proposed oncology centre as a timely intervention that would greatly benefit the region.
He further commended Jospong Group of Companies and its partners for involving beneficiaries from the project’s design stage, noting that the inclusive approach demonstrates commitment to delivering a facility that meets the needs of patients and healthcare providers.
A technical team is expected to be constituted in the coming days as part of processes leading to the commencement of the project.
