Tamale Teaching Hospital Celebrates Damba Festival with King of Dagbon, Ndan Ya-Na

Tamale Teaching Hospital (TTH) joined in the celebration of the 2024 Damba Festival with the King of Dagbon, Ndan Ya-Na. The festival's climax on Saturday, September 21, 2024, saw a powerful delegation from TTH, led by the CEO, Dr. Adam Atiku, visit the Gbewaa Palace in Yendi following a special invitation from the king.

The TTH delegation, dressed in vibrant northern smocks, was warmly welcomed by the elders at the palace on behalf of Ndan Ya-Na. The elders commended Dr. Atiku and the entire TTH staff for their strong collaboration with the traditional authority, highlighting the importance of the partnership.

In his address, Dr. Atiku expressed gratitude to the traditional authority, particularly Ndan Ya-Na, for his continued support of the hospital. He specifically thanked the king for his generous donation towards the construction of a dedicated paediatric complex at Tamale Teaching Hospital, a project that will greatly enhance healthcare services for children in the region.

The participation in the Damba Festival further strengthens the relationship between TTH and the Dagbon Kingdom, promoting a shared commitment to the well-being of the community.
