Management of the Tamale Teaching Hospital (TTH) wishes to inform the general public that construction work has commenced at its main entrance. Consequently, the main gate will be closed to vehicular traffic effective Tuesday, 7th April 2026.
In view of this, the following alternative arrangements have been put in place:
a) All clients that need emergency services would have to use the alternate gate located behind the Accident and Emergency (Red Zone) building. This entrance is STRICTLY reserved for ONLY emergency cases. The entire entrance of the Red Zone would be under CCTV surveillance.
b) All persons (staff, patients, and patient relatives) desirous of entering the facility should use the WesternGate located around the mortuary. This route will serve as an entry to OPD, administration, the polyclinic and all general service areas.
c) Pedestrian Access (staff and clients): A temporary access point has been created near the construction area at the main entrance for staff and visitors on foot.
d) Management entreats all to bear with it, since the current arrangements would be short-lived. We apologise for the inconveniences.
